Common questions

I lost my licence key. How do I get it back?

Email support@chronarium.app from the address you used to buy, and the key will be sent again. It was emailed to you by Chronarium when you bought it, so it may still be in your inbox.

How do I enter my licence key?

If Chronarium is already installed on your Mac, click the licence status shown at the far right of the bottom bar, which reads Trial · 12 days left (or however many are left), Trial ended, Licence or Licence ended, and a panel opens with a field for your key. On a new Mac, choose I have a licence key on the first screen. Paste the whole key, which starts with “CHRON-”. Any spaces or line breaks within the key are ignored.

My trial ended. Is my work gone?

No, nothing is deleted. Chronarium turns read-only: you can still open, view, search and export every timeline, and export stays free. A licence brings editing back.

How do I cancel my yearly plan?

Click “Your plan” at the right of the bottom bar, then “Manage billing” to open the billing page, where you sign in with a code sent to your email. You can cancel there, and you keep full use until the end of the paid year. Emailing support@chronarium.app also works.

Can I get a refund?

Email support@chronarium.app within 30 days of any payment and you will get a full refund. The Terms of Service has the details.

How do I turn off usage data?

Click the licence status at the right of the bottom bar, then clear the box labelled “Send usage data linked to your email. Never what your timelines say.” The app sends usage counts and session times, never the contents of your timelines.

How do I move Chronarium to a new Mac?

Export each timeline as a project file on the old Mac, then open that file in Chronarium on the new Mac. On the new Mac, choose “I have a licence key” on the first screen and paste the whole key, starting with “CHRON-”. Spaces and line breaks inside the key do not matter.
